Recent insight has unveiled that a trade proposal has been made for the Boston Bruins organization to acquire Colorado Avalanche's superstar, Martin Necas.
According to a recent report from an NHL insider, the Colorado Avalanche could be parting ways with a key member of their core.
This could lead to a huge opportunity for the Boston Bruins.
“After the Avalanche moved Rantanen because of how difficult they perceived contract extension talks to be going, how much patience will they have with Necas - not a homegrown player or superstar talent - if negotiations on an extension start slowly this July?” Kypreos wrote.
“There was a sense Necas wasn't overly thrilled with his experience in Colorado and that he wants to explore other options.”
The Avalanche seemingly stole Charlie Coyle from the Bruins, and now GM Don Sweeney should have his turn in returning the favor of robbery.
A proposed deal would see the Bruins acquiring the young Avalanche goal scoring forward in exchange for Morgan Geekie.
While it may seem far fetched, Geekie has recently broken out of his shell and has slid into a top line role for the Bruins.
“Geekie for Necas. Who says no?”
Bruins busy off season including acquiring Necas?
This offseason is set to be huge for the Bruins and GM Don Sweeney, who are in hopes to get a large start on their retooling process.
With the loss of Brad Marchand, nobody can fill the void left by the longtime captain.
But star studded talent that you don't come by every day, like Necas, can surely put a bandaid on the painful bleeding for Bruins fans, caused by GM Don Sweeney.
With Necas' displeasure in Colorado, it's a clear golden opportunity for the Bruins.
Would you trade this Boston Bruins forward in exchange for Martin Necas?
