During free agency, the Boston Bruins were busy and made a signing that General Manager Don Sweeney is now getting some praise for.

The Boston Bruins ended up bringing in multiple new players to try and improve their roster for the upcoming season.

One of those players that the Boston Bruins ended up bringing in, Don Sweeney has been getting some praise for.

Sweeney getting praise for Michael Eyssimont signing

A player that the Boston Bruins signed during the off-season was Seattle Kraken forward Michael Eyssimont.

Eyssimont was signed to a two-year deal with a AAV of $1.45 million. Not many have talked about this signing by General Manager Don Sweeney, but it could be a sneaky good addition for the Boston Bruins.

Although the Boston Bruins needed some help in their top-six heading into next season, Eyssimont has the chance to be a really good player in the Bruins bottom-six.

He is known to be a good energy player, something the Boston Bruins love, and he is not scared to throw his weight around. He also kills penalties, and has a decent offensive game.

Last year, Eyssimont ended up scoring nine goals, seven assists, for 16 points while splitting 77 games between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Seattle Kraken.

Just two years ago, he ended up setting new career highs in goals with 11, assists with 14, and points with 25 in 81 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

If he can get his offensive numbers back, this would prove to be a super good signing by Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney.

It will be interesting to see how Eyssimont ends up fitting in with the Boston Bruins for the upcoming season.
