Training camp is here for the NHL, and that means the NHL season is right around the corner, but some devastating news has struck a former Boston Bruins fan favourite forward.

Tomas Nosek originally began his NHL career with the Detroit Red Wings after going undrafted.

He would spend the first two years of his career with the Red Wings, before he would end up leaving, and joining the Vegas Golden Knights for the 2017-18 season.

After spending four years with the Golden Knights, the Boston Bruins ended up signing him in the 2021-22 season where he would play in two seasons with the Bruins organization.

Nosek would then go and sign with the New Jersey Devils after not earning a contract with the Boston Bruins, playing one season with the Devils.

Similar to the Bruins, the Devils opted not to sign him again, and he would then go on to sign with the Florida Panthers where he would play a big role in the team winning the Stanley Cup once again.

Today, some devastating news has surfaced regarding the former Bruins fan favourite.

Tomas Nosek expected to miss months after suffering an injury

According to Florida Panthers reporter, George Richards, Tomas Nosek is expected to miss "months".

Along with this, the Florida Panthers are also expected to miss Matthew Tkachuk's presence in the lineup until December.

Bill Zito: Matthew Tkachuk should be out until December - but don't hold me to that.

Tomas Nosek also out long term due to injury. “Months, for sure.''

These are some very big losses for the Florida Panthers who are looking to hoist the Stanley Cup for a third year in a row.
