The Boston Bruins made some moves entering the off-season, and now they have just confirmed some changes ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Entering the off-season, the Boston Bruins made a bunch of moves, nothing too big, but Elliotte Friedman has stated this is due to Don Sweeney wanting to make some big swings in the 2026 free agency class.

Before free agency began, Don Sweeney ended up trading for Viktor Arvidsson from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a 5th round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft.

Then Don Sweeney went on to sign 10 players during free agency, all of them being signed to short deals, and bottom-six players.

Bruins announce jersey numbers for new players

Now, the Boston Bruins have released the new numbers for the players they signed during free agency.

One of the players that the Bruins ended up signing in the off-season is going to be wearing a number that hasn't really been worn in the organization.

Viktor Arvidsson will wear No. 71, Matěj Blümel will wear No. 13, Michael Eyssimont will wear No. 81, Tanner Jeannot will wear No. 84, Jordan Harris will wear No. 43, Alex Steeves will wear No. 21 and Victor Söderström will wear No. 29, according to the club's release.

Tanner Jeannot is going to be just the second player in the organizations history to wear number 84, joining Jarred Tinordi who wore it in 2021.

Fans will have different options to chose from if they buy a jersey for the upcoming season, especially considering the Bruins revealed new jerseys heading into the new season.
