Brad Marchand's future lies in the hands of this year's off-season, and an NHL insider has revealed this veteran's predicted organization.

Many continue to be furious as to how the 2024/25 NHL Trade Deadline concluded, especially following the 16-year Boston Bruins veteran, Brad Marchand, being traded to an opposing team for the first time in his career.

However, his trade left him with minimal security and as free-agency is right around the corner, the likelihood of Marchand signing with the Florida Panther's is minimal.

With this being said, regardless that the trade deadline is now completed, throughout that day and weeks prior, many trade rumours erupted for this veteran and an immense amount of interest was shown for opposing organizations.

Now that free-agency is nearing, opposing teams are keeping him in mind, however, an NHL insider has suggested where Marchand's next contract lies.

During a recent episode of the ‘Morning Cuppa Hockey podcast,' ESPN broadcaster, John Buccigross, predicted that this former Bruin will sign with the Montreal Canadiens when he becomes a free agent at the end of this NHL season.

"I think he wants to stay in the northeast," Buccigross said. "So I'll go Montreal-Marchand. Go off the board a little bit there. Short flight to Boston if the family stays in Boston, 40-minute flight, and come home on weekends."

Despite this insight, it may leave questions for fans regarding Marchand's loyalty to Boston.

Would Marchand really become a rival against the Bruins organization after so many years on the other side?

Let's hope he finds his way back to his roots.
