Once free agency begins on July 1st, Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney has the chance to improve the Bruins offense.

NHL insider Frank Seravalli of the Daily Faceoff revealed that the Boston Bruins may take a big swing and try to sign Canucks forward Brock Boeser in free agency.

Frank Seravalli: I wonder if the Flyers go after pending UFA Brock Boeser - DFO Rundown
FYI. I said the Bruins and Boeser. Not Flyers.

After the season came to an end, Boeser announced that the Canucks organization more than likely is not going to re-sign him, allowing him to hit the free agent market.

“Honestly, it's unlikely at this point,” Boeser said, according to NHL.com. “It (stinks). It's unfortunate. I'm just trying to play good hockey and then I'll worry about everything after that. We all know it's been a roller coaster of a year. There's been a lot of different things.”

Boeser is coming off of his third season in a row scoring 50-or more points.

In the 2024-25 season, Boeser had a point total of 50, 25 of them being goals, and 25 assists.

The season before that, Boeser ended up scoring 73 points with 40 of them being goals.

Boeser's projected contract

According to some reports, Boeser is expected to sign a six year, $8.46 million deal in free agency.

If any team has the cap space to make this signing work, it's the Boston Bruins.

There is no doubt that the Boston Bruins should be all in on Boeser, especially after how terrible their offense was last season.
