#NHLBruins have signed forward Tyler Pitlick to a one-year, two-way contract through the 2024-25 season with an NHL cap hit of $775,000. Pitlick, 33, has appeared in 43 games with the Providence Bruins this season. He has also played in 420 career NHL games tallying 109 points.
The Boston Bruins confirmed this in their own statement:
BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, March 6, that the team has signed forward Tyler Pitlick to a one-year, two-way contract through the 2024-25 season with an NHL cap hit of $775,000.
With all the trade speculation going on with the Boston Bruins, it's very possible this signing could lead to someone like Charlie Coyle, Pavel Zacha, Morgan Geekie, or Justin Brazeau being traded, as all of them have been involved in rumours leading up to the NHL trade deadline.
Pitlick is going to bring some veteran leadership to the Bruins lineup, but it's unclear whether or not this signing is indicating another move is set to take place, but Don Sweeney surely is going to be a busy man leading up to the NHL trade deadline.
Do you think this signing means the Boston Bruins are going to make another trade?
