During their game against the Ottawa Senators last night, the Boston Bruins were hit with more terrible injury news.
It was announced that Bruins forward Johnny Beecher had suffered an injury during their game against the Ottawa Senators, and it's being labelled as an upper-body injury.
Because of this injury, Beecher was only limited to six shifts against the Senators, playing just over 4:07 of ice time.
Beecher finally just got a crack in the lineup after being healthy scratched a lot, and this came at a bad time.
Not only that, but this is also a big hit to the Bruins' bottom six, as Beecher is a solid penalty killer.
Beecher has only appeared in six games for the Bruins so far this season, scoring one goal, has four blocks, seven hits, and is a minus-1 rating this year.
Last season, Beecher scored three goals, eight assists, 11 points, 71 blocks, and 85 hits in 78 games for the Bruins.
Bruins confirm Beecher's injury
During the game, the Bruins made an announcement, confirming his injury and stating he would not return to the game due to an upper-body injury.
Beecher finally just got a shot in the Bruins lineup due to Elias Lindholm's injury but will now be sidelined again.
The Bruins selected Beecher in the first round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft with the 30th overall pick.
