So far this season, the Providence Bruins have been a very impressive team to begin the 2025-26 season.
They currently sit at the top of the Atlantic Division in the American Hockey League with an 11-1-0 record!
A big reason for their great start to the year so far has been because their top players are playing up to expectations.
Fabian Lysell is one of those players as well.
Lysell making a name for himself
Lysell has been good for the Bruins this season, scoring six goals and five assists for 11 points in 11 games. He has been rolling recently as well, as he has scored two goals and four points in his last three games.
This is super nice to see considering how high the Bruins value Lysell, but he has yet to live up to expectations.
If he can continue to perform like this, there is no chance the Bruins won't give him an opportunity to play in the NHL once again.
Last season, Lysell appeared in his first 12 career NHL games, scoring one goal and two assists for three points.
Lysell did not have a very impressive training camp. Many believed that there was a chance Lysell could make the team out of camp, and this was going to be his year, but he really struggled during camp.
This resulted in the Boston Bruins sending him back down to the Providence Bruins where he is now making a name for himself this season.
Patrick Brown, Michael Callahan, Georgii Merkulov, Victor Soderstrom and Riley Tufte on waivers.
Frederic Brunet, Riley Duran, Brett Harrison and Fabian Lysell to report to Providence.
Do you think Fabian Lysell is going to get a chance in the NHL this season with the Boston Bruins?
