Former Boston Bruins defenseman, Brandon Carlo, in the hot seat following a major altercation that erupted with Toronto Maple Leafs' goaltender Anthony Stolarz.

During the Boston Bruins' fire sale this past March, the organization made some unimaginable trades, which included the departure of fan-favourited Brandon Carlo.

He was traded to Toronto in exchange for Fraser Minten, a 4th-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and a 1st-round pick in 2026 (conditional).

Now, new insight has unveiled this former Bruin is in the hot seat.

Brandon Carlo is in the hot seat following altercation with Anthony Stolarz

Carlo has been facing quite a lot of criticism since the Toronto Maple Leafs took on the Seattle Kraken, due to the fact he failed to take action quickly and defend after his goaltender, Anthony Stolarz, was knocked down.

Take a look:

Brandon Carlo would later speak up on the incident, claiming he was intending to avoid drawing a penalty that would give the Leafs a disadvantage.

“As I saw the referee call the penalty, you don't want to do too much to retaliate. But yeah, there's a certain extent, once you see Stolie get up and be angry too, you want to try and give him a shot. But overall, you want to go on the power play as well. So it's a weird area to be in. But overall, I think the power play is a useful thing in that situation. - Brandon Carlo”

However, at this time, it seems as though Maple Leafs fans are still outraged.

Do you think Brandon Carlo should have done more for his teammate?
