Heading into their game tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights, Hampus Lindholm's fate was in the air, but now head coach Marco Sturm has confirmed it.

Lindholm was seen skating with the team yesterday wearing a regular jersey, which was good news for the Boston Bruins.

The Bruins have taken the ice and Hampus is with them in a regular jersey.

He even ended up skating today with the team once again.

But, that didn't mean that he was going to return to the lineup tonight, and now his fate has been confirmed.

Lindholm will not play tonight

Despite returning back to practice, and taking a step forward to returning to the Bruins lineup, Marco Sturm confirmed that he will not play tonight.

Sturm went on to say that Lindholm is still being listed as day-to-day.

Hampus Lindholm will not play tonight.

Still day to day. #NHLBruins

Not having Lindholm tonight is a big loss for the Bruins, not just for his play on ice, but his leadership he brings as well.

The Bruins are looking to improve to 4-1-0 with a win over Vegas tonight.

Do you think not having Hampus Lindholm in the lineup is a big loss for the Boston Bruins?
