A new statement has surfaced the media, speculating that the Boston Bruins are set to recall a top prospect to the NHL roster.

This Boston Bruins kicked off the 2025/26 NHL regular season in the best way possibly by winning their first three games, which include defeating the highly skilled Washington Capitals on opening night with the final score being 3-1.

With this, Bruins fans began to believe the offseason must have flipped this team around, yet, things have begun to change quickly.

Despite the Boston Bruins' impeccable start, this Original Six franchise has just lost each of their past four games in regulation.

A huge factor of these unfortunate losses is evidently the fact that they have been struggling to produce offensively as of late.

For example, the Boston Bruins recorded just 14 shots against the Colorado Avalanche on October 14.

Those kind of numbers will be detrimental for the organization's overall success.

That being said, new speculations have suggested this would be a great time to recall a top prospect.

Boston Bruins speculated to recall a top prospect to the NHL roster

A new report from The Hockey News has revealed the Boston Bruins should consider recalling their 2021 first-round pick, Fabian Lysell, to the NHL roster.

“With the way things have been going lately for the Bruins, they should not be afraid to call up one of their players from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins. When looking at Providence's roster, one clear call-up candidate who should be considered is 2021 first-round pick Fabian Lysell.” Michael DeRosa of The Hockey News stated.

DeRosa continued:

“Given how Lysell has started this season, it would not hurt for Boston to give him another chance on their roster. He could give them another player to consider for their second-line right wing spot, which is in clear need of a serious boost right now.”
