It appeared like Boston Bruins top defenseman, Charlie McAvoy ended up suffering an injury late in the game against the Utah Mammoth.

Boston ended up trailing Utah late in the third period, when they got a a power play opportunity late in the period for a perfect chance to tie the game.

Unfortunately, once again the Bruins power play was not able to come through once again in a big moment.

To top things off, the Bruins ended up having four power play opportunities, but were only able to convert on one of them.

Late in the game, a scary scene surfaced for the Boston Bruins and one of their top defenseman.

Charlie McAvoy ended up having a collision and it looked like he was injured on the play.

McAvoy appears to be injured

Charlie McAvoy was chasing down a puck in the Mammoth zone, when he awkwardly got spun around, and ended up tripping on Utah's goalies skates.

He ended up awkwardly colliding with the post, and sat on the ice in pain for a good chunk of time.

Charlie McAvoy was in some discomfort as he skated back to the bench from deep inside the Utah zone. The team trainer is attending to him.

Here is the video:

Mcavoy injured here, but was able to skate off

One huge sign for the Bruins is the fact that he was able to skate off on his own, but he did get attended to by the trainer.

If McAvoy is going to miss some time with an injury, this would be such a big loss for the Bruins.
