With how terrible of a season the Boston Bruins had last year, they are trying to build a better team for next season.

The Bruins have made a couple of moves, but nothing big enough to "wow" anyone heading into the 2025-26 season.

So far throughout the off-season, the front office has made some very questionable moves, leaving the organization in a weird spot.

It's no doubt that the Bruins have some talent on the team with players like Pastrnak, and McAvoy, but they are not seen as contenders in the Eastern Conference right now.

Don Sweeney is facing some backlash over recent signings

Bleacher Reports NHL writer, Adam Gretz has recently graded every teams off-season so far, and the Bruins received a very terrible one with a "C" for this off-season.

"Boston's offseason got off to a fantastic start when it acquired Viktor Arvidsson from the Edmonton Oilers, giving it a solid middle-six forward at a relatively low cost.

"Everything after that was a big whiff, with none being bigger than the five-year contract for Tanner Jeannot. The Bruins still have a glaring hole at the No. 1 center spot and have accumulated some questionable contracts all over the roster," Gretz wrote.

Arvidsson is a nice addition for the Boston Bruins next season, but the Bruins are still lacking some secondary scoring, and a true top-six player.

There have been multiple reports that the Boston Bruins are looking towards next off-season to make a huge move, but it's not clear if any of the big named players are even going to hit the open market.
