On Saturday, the Bruins ended up finally snapping their six-game losing streak, beating the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 at home.

With this, the Bruins now sit 4-6-0 in their first 10 games of the season, handing the Avalanche their first regulation loss of the season.

Now, the Boston Bruins are looking to get back on track, and Don Sweeney is reportedly open to making some big moves.

According to David Pagnotta, the Bruins are taking calls on two of their forwards as they look to shake up their lineup.

Bruins taking calls on Zacha and Mittelstadt

David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reported that both of these players' names were circulating around the NHL.

It was also revealed that the Canucks were a team really interested in Zacha, as GM Patrik Allvin is desperately looking for a second-line center.

“Boston is interesting. Casey Mittelstadt is out there out there again. Pavel Zacha was a player that they explored and took calls on last season,” Pagnotta said. “From the Canucks perspective, those are two players that would appeal.

“There are players they are exploring on and I would imagine that Boston would be a club that Allvin and (President Jim) Rutherford are going to at least poke on to see what the price tag would be for either of those players.”

Elliotte Friedman also confirmed that the Canucks do have interest in Zacha, who has another year under contract after this year at $4.75 million.

“I think it's been going on for quite some time. I think it's all the way going back to the summer - the Canucks and Bruins have been on off about this,” Friedman said. “Zacha is not in the last year of his deal, he has another year. Teams are looking for centres. Boston doesn't have to do anything here it doesn't want to do, but this is kind of been a dance, the Canucks and some other teams seeing if they can prize Zacha out of there.”

He also stated that he doesn't think the Canucks are a team on his eight-team no-trade list.
