The Boston Bruins roster next season will see a change in the top six of the lineup.

As a result of Jake DeBrusk's absence, the team has a spot to promote younger forwards to the roster.

According to the Bruins Network, since Sweeney didn't sign a top-six forward, they will go with Fabian Lysell or Georgi Merkulov.

The pair will have a chance to prove the capabilities on the roster before the regular season kicks into gear:

Boston pretty much has their forward blueprint for next season barring any last minute transactions:

Zacha-Lindholm-Pastrnak
Marchand-Coyle-Lysell/Merkulov
Frederic-Poitras-Geekie
Jones-Beecher-Brazeau
Kastelic

DeBrusk walks, opportunity for Lysell/Merkulov opens.

Who will take DeBrusk's spot? Merkulov or Lysell?

Do you think Sweeney made the right decision?
