Recently, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman hinted that the Vancouver Canucks could be listening to offers on veteran players. A new report has revealed that the Bruins should inquire about one player on the Canucks.

On November 25th, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman stated that the Canucks may be open to listening in on trade offers for some of their veteran players.

However, Friedman did state that the Canucks are not shopping two of their most key players in Quinn Hughes and Filip Hronek.

But if the Canucks are shopping some of their veteran players, there is one that Don Sweeney should inquire about.

Sweeney to inquire about Sherwood?

One player that could make a big impact for the Boston Bruins is Kiefer Sherwood.

Sherwood is going to be an unrestricted free agent following this season, but he is a bit older, as he is currently 30 years old.

But if the Boston Bruins find themselves in a playoff spot come the NHL trade deadline, he would be a great addition to their lineup to help them not only get back into the playoffs but also be a more competitive team.

The Bruins could use a big upgrade on their right wing position, and Sherwood could be the answer to that.

He could fit in nicely on the Bruins' second line, and to make matters better, he would also give the Bruins another option as a penalty killer and on their power play.

So far this season, Sherwood has appeared in 23 games for the Canucks, where he has scored 12 goals and 4 assists for 16 points, and he has 98 hits.

This past season, Sherwood ended up setting new career highs with the Canucks when he scored 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points in 78 games.

During that season, he also set a new NHL record for most hits with an incredible 462 hits, and that was just in 78 games!

Sherwood would be the type of player to boost the Bruins' lineup not only with grit but also with his offensive ability and with how reliable he is.

Do you think the Boston Bruins should try and acquire Vancouver Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood?
