Yesterday, training camp officially began for the Boston Bruins, but former Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand and the Florida Panthers were unfortunately hit with some troubling news.
This time of year is such an exciting time to be a hockey fan. Training camp is officially here, which means the NHL season is right around the corner.
Unfortunately, a lot of players get injured during this time of year, and Bruins fans saw that with the announcement of David Pastrnak being injured, and not being able to participate in the beginning of training camp for the Bruins.
Sweeney: Pastrnak won't fully practice for a couple of days to open camp. Dealing with some tendinitis, but Sweeney deemed it as “load management”.
This was also the case for the Florida Panthers, as it was announced that a former Bruin is going to miss a bunch of time to begin the season after suffering an injury.
Former Bruin, Tomas Nosek to miss a chunk of time with an injury
Florida Panthers GM Bill Zito recently revealed that Tomas Nosek is going to miss a couple of months to begin the season after suffering an injury.
Zito stated to reporters that Nosek ended up undergoing surgery for a injury on his knee:
Bill Zito says Tomas Nosek had knee surgery after offseason injury. Luke Kunin, one could expect, may fill in until Nosek returns.
Last year, Nosek became a big piece to the Florida Panthers fourth line, and not having him present in the lineup is going to hurt the Panthers big time.
Do you think this injury news is going to hurt the Florida Panthers?
