The Boston Bruins just got hit with some more terrible news regarding one of their top trade candidates.
Yesterday, both Viktor Arvidsson and Casey Mittelstadt were on the ice before practice began, hinting that they were dealing with some injuries.
Following practice, head coach Marco Sturm revealed that Arvidsson was dealing with a sickness, and that Mittelstadt was dealing with a lower-body injury, but it wasn't anything too serious.
Per Marco Sturm, Viktor Arvidsson missed skate because he was sick yesterday but is feeling better. Casey Mittelstadt is dealing with a lower-body injury. Sturm said it's “nothing crazy” and Mittelstadt will be back tomorrow.
Sturm stated that both players would be back at practice today:
Sturm says Arvidsson and Mittelstadt are expected back tomorrow. Arvidsson was sick. Mittelstadt dealing with a minor lower body issue.
Mittelstadt missing from practice
Well practice is underway, and Arvidsson is back with the non-game group this morning, but Casey Mittelstadt is not present on the ice.
Arvidsson is back with the non-game group. Don't see Mittelstadt (lower body).
Mittelstadt has been involved in a bunch of trade rumors this off-season, and there is belief that he will be traded towards the NHL trade deadline this year.
Frank Seravalli believes that the Bruins are waiting to see what Mittelstadt can do this season before deciding if they want to trade him or not.
It will be interesting to see if Mittelstadt can impress the Boston Bruins enough to keep him around.
Do you think the Boston Bruins are going to trade Casey Mittelstadt this year?
